it says you can share layouts by posting the code, i might try it in a sec

mmm ugly code, obviously my production buildings aren't lvl 10, and i have plans to move iron production to Mist so that section is getting bulldozed very soon :)

that looks good
i'm not sure how optimal the farms are though, they gain 50% for being next to a lake,
i've not played around trying to fit them into neat little rows like the other production buildings i've just been building mine around a central lake

also if your city is on a river/coast and you want a naval fleet (yay pirate raids!) then your shipyards will want to touch the barracks, so i'm building all my military stuff down by the water
(if you're inland they can go anywhere though)

edit - i saw a pirate boat dungeon off the coast and also a hydra last week, they seem to have disappeared since the last time the world server went down though Sad I hope some more come back

have tweaked it again. i figure not going to worry about military units for this first new city, just going to focus on production and hiding/storage. with that in mind 9k food should be more than enough to cope even assuming i have 5k city guard...

i played around with your plan and came up with this;

you had more hideouts than actual storage so i stuck a warehouse in, (and then bumped up the number of hideouts to match the storage figure) i also put in 2 harbors for trade but you might want to skip those depending

i've found it better to intersperse the special buildings like sawmills in the cottage rows which gives you more production buildings, plus going from vertical to horizontal rows is probably reducing potential output
also the farms benefit from not being so tightly packed, can achieve 11k with only 4 farms, however you need a lake in roughly the right spot... if not put the mill where the lake is and cottages where the mills are, that nets you almost 9k

this layout looks quite nicely balanced i think, could take out some hideouts for military buildings if you want an army too
